Raul the Poet
Local performer, activist, poet and well rounded nice guy? Raul has had his hand in hosting open mics, done some stand up comedy, street magic and helped with Amarillo'’s underground concert scene while getting his BA in Theatre Performance & Production. Currently he's running an after school program for at-risk kids, teaches spokenword classes and workshops at various schools and the YMCA, and hosts The 806 Open mics and the Poetry Slams. Raul’s been helping local artists explode on the Amarillo scene and wants to take it to a hal…... nuta...… leva…!

Seraphine is a student at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts. She has been writing poetry for over half her life. She has been published in 6 anthologies and also has her own poetry book, entitled Soul Music. Over the past decade, she has written over 800 poems and 300 haikus. She is a child of the universe.
